The Subscription Economy is booming. It has grown more than 350% in the last seven years, with the sector increasing revenues 5x faster than the S&P 500.

But what is driving this push towards the end of ownership and the rise of user-ship?

We surveyed 2,000 US and 2,000 UK consumers with subscriptions to understand how many the average person has, how much they spend on subscriptions, the types of subscriptions they value most and their overall attitudes to the services. We also looked at how their behaviour might change in future as smart devices are able to make purchases on their behalf.
