In an interactive format, you’ll learn how to run a Video Response project in Attest, as well as getting to know how Crosstabs can be set up in the platform to help you analyse like a pro and discover even more insights. Exciting? YES!

There will be opportunity for you to ask questions, as well as some exclusive insight on what’s to come in 2024.

Q&A

Can we export the videos for use outside of the Attest platform – for instance in company decks or in advertising? What are the shareable limits?

Videos can be exported and used outside of the platform. They can be used for analysis purposes and internal presentations. However, as voice and face imagery falls under Personally Identifiable information it cannot be used within advertising.

How do we add ‘Other’, and allow people to input options?

Other can be enabled by clicking the ‘other’ box at the bottom of a question card. It can be found in the section that says ‘Add Other, None, N/A’.

How many questions can you ask in a Qual survey?

You can ask up to 12 questions in a Video Response survey. This takes into account up to 4 qualifying questions, up to 4 Video Response questions, and up to 4 other questions of any type (e.g. multiple choice, open text).

What is the cost of a Video Responses survey?

A Video Response survey has a fixed cost of 5,000 credits. The video response survey can be sent to up to 30 respondents, with up to 12 questions (4 video response questions), as per the question guidance.

Is there/will there be any chart functionality in Crosstabs?

Crosstabs currently can’t be converted into charts within the platform, however this feature request has been put in front of the product team to consider.

Will there be a way to follow up with more questions with the same respondents who recorded videos (in case their responses are not full)?

Unfortunately you can’t follow up with respondents from one survey. However, if you target an identical demographic in a second survey it will give you an accurate reflection of the audience you previously surveyed.

Will we be allowed to share the videos with our clients, how complicated is the GDPR, etc. side of things to set up and control?

Our customers are ultimately the data controllers of video and audio recordings and will need to determine how to use video and audio recordings in compliance with applicable data protection regulations. However, when Attest collects Video Responses, respondents’ consent to collect and process their data, this consent is collected on the basis that the data will be used for market research purposes only. On this basis, video responses shouldn’t be used for other purposes e.g. marketing as the customer doesn’t have the necessary permission to do so.

Have you found that your respondents are hesitant to speak on camera at all? In this, can you give an option to type their answers instead?

So far we haven’t seen any reluctance for someone to talk on camera. At the very start of the survey a respondent is asked whether they are happy to speak on camera and whether their video / audio is working. If they say no, they will not continue with the survey itself.

Do you get the results overview only after end of the FW?

Results overview is live as soon as the fieldwork launches so you will be able to see data as soon as it starts coming in.

Do you plan building insights/analysis for the videos?

Yes, this Video Response release is the first iteration of the functionality. If you have specific things you would like to see within the analysis functionality of Video Responses, let us know and our product team will consider it for the future.
