Cross-tabbing

Subscribe

We’ll drop fresh insights and events info into your inbox each week, all we need are your details.

We’ve launched a feature called cross-tabbing.
It’s often hard to compare responses, correlations and linkages between questions in a survey, so we made it instant, easy and visual.

To try cross-tabbing, click on the groups of responses you’d like to explore further. Now flick through other questions, to instantly see how the group you selected responded to everything else.

You can do this in any range of combinations you like. It’s tricky and time-consuming to do this in Excel, so we thought we’d make it simple to explore in only a few clicks.

For example, if you’re interested in those who answered “I prefer to select items personally”, just click on that bar:

Now navigate through other questions, using the arrow keys or top right dial:

You’ll now see sub-sets of results, including only the respondents you selected who answered “I prefer to select my items personally”. The blue highlights remind you that cross-tabbing is active & the vertical markers show the original results for reference. To return to original results, simply hit “Clear All”.

Many organisations are already using instant cross-tabbing. They’ve uncovered that Pimms lovers are more worried about bruised fruit in online grocery shopping, and precisely why males under 30 are far less likely to buy home contents insurance.

Live cross-tabbing aims to bring you new insights and details, in simple and visual ways. This power once required tricky and time-consuming work. Attest makes it easy.
