As the novel coronavirus makes its way across all 50 states, city and state governments have implemented drastic social distancing measures – including mandating closures of gyms, fitness studios, and sports clubs.

We wanted to look at the impact of this on fitness. Are Americans managing to maintain their exercise regimes? And, if so, how? What are the biggest challenges they face as they attempt to keep fit at home and which brands are they turning to for help?

We also wanted to explore how stay at home orders are affecting people’s mental wellbeing – are they more stressed or anxious, are they lacking in motivation, and what are the tools they’re using to cope? And perhaps the biggest question of all: when life returns to normal, how might our approach to fitness and wellness be changed? To find out, we surveyed 2,000 working-age US consumers.
